Contact vindarop for conveyancing information

Get in touch for an informational consultation on the conveyancing side of buying a sectional title unit or a freehold home in South Africa. You will get a clear explanation of the steps, the usual six to twelve week timeline and the likely transfer costs for your transaction.

1
Initial enquiry Give us the basics: the suburb and province, whether the property is sectional title or freehold, and the date the Offer to Purchase was signed. That is enough to see which steps of the transfer apply to you.
2
Document review and scope A read of the Offer to Purchase, the title deed and, in a sectional title scheme, the sectional plan and the body corporate records defines what needs doing, roughly how long it will take and what the fees and disbursements are likely to come to.
3
Mandate and transfer Once the scope is agreed the work runs: Deeds Office searches, FICA verification, rates and levy clearance certificates, transfer duty to SARS, and lodgement alongside the bond and cancellation attorneys until the transfer registers.
